Topic — Emily Dickinson had a long-term correspondence with a famous Unitarian, Thomas Wentworth Higginson. A hero among abolitionists and Unitarians, Wentworth’s reputation is much more complex–to say the least– when it comes to his role as Dickinson’s literary agent and marketer. Celebrate National Poetry Month with America’s foremost 19 th century poet.
Bio — Wendy Bartlett has served as the Collection Development & Acquisitions Manager for Cuyahoga County Public Library since 2008. Wendy graduated from the Unitarian Universalist House of Studies with a Master of Divinity degree. She is involved with social justice issues including anti-racism and LGBTQ+ concerns. She lives with her grown-up son, a cat, and a grandcat in Fairlawn, Ohio.
