Wendy Bartlett — A Free and Responsible Search for Truth and Meaning

October 16 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Sunday Service — 10:30 a.m.

Speaker — Wendy Bartlett
Leader — Brian Moore

Title — A Free and Responsible Search for Truth and Meaning
Topic –As Unitarian Universalists, we hold our Fourth Principle close to our hearts. Increasingly though, bookbanning efforts by special interest groups have challenged our ability, and the ability of our children, to read and learn freely. Wendy Bartlett, Collection Development and Acquisitions Manager for Cuyahoga County Public Library, will speak on why this new wave of book banning challenges is particularly pernicious, and what we as UUs can do about it.

Wendy Bartlett has served as the Collection Development & Acquisitions Manager for Cuyahoga County Public Library since 2008. Wendy graduated from the Unitarian Universalist House of Studies with a Master of Divinity degree. She is involved with social justice issues including anti-racism and LGBTQ concerns. She lives with her grown-up son, a cat, and a grandcat in Fairlawn, Ohio.
