Title: What Don’t You Know About Thoreau?
Topic: A recent biography about Thoreau begins “Everyone who comes to Thoreau has a story.” What’s yours? Recent scholarship has revealed layers about Thoreau that resonate even more strongly with the times in which we find ourselves. And if it’s been a minute since you took a stroll around Walden Pond, we’ll do that too.
Bio: Wendy Bartlett graduated from the Unitarian Universalist House of Studies with dual specializations in Unitarian Universalism and Interreligious Contexts. Wendy’s areas of focus were Unitarian Universalist history and the intersection of Unitarian Universalism and Buddhism. Raised in the United Church of Christ, Wendy’s family joined the UU church when she was thirteen, and she’s been here ever since. She lives with her grown-up son, a cat, and a grandcat in Fairlawn, Ohio.
