We look at the roots of this inequality\, understand its history\, and see what must be changed going forward for justice to be realized. \nBio: In 2016 Ron founded his organization Mystic Spirit Presentations which serves to inform\, educate\, and inspire interested parties throughout Ohio and beyond. Ron has led numerous programs on topics pertaining to spiritual growth\, religious education\, and environmental education. \nRon has been a UU for over 20 years\, a past president of his congregation\, and has spoken for numerous UU congregations and religious organizations over the years. \nRon speaks on a variety of topics\, drawing from a diverse range of sources\, such as religion\, spirituality\, philosophy\, psychology\, mythology\, sociology\, science\, mathematics\, and ecology\, to name a few. \nRon is a strong advocate for finding solutions for our current environmental issues\, and sees this as one of the most critical moral issues we are facing in our time. \n*Masks are requested in the building*\nFellowship has returned. DESCRIPTION:Sunday Service — 10:30 a.m. \nSpeaker —  Kip Curtis \nLeader — Hayley Young \nTitle and Topic — Morality\, Ethics\, Race\, and the Environment: New Thoughts on Old Topics \nBio — Kip Curtis is an associate professor of environmental history at the Ohio State University where he teaches on the Mansfield Regional Campus. He has published research on the environmental history of mining\, the place of Henry David Thoreau in environmental history\, and the role of ritual and bodily engagement in fostering environmental ethics. For the past half-decade\, he has been developing a community engaged research project in Mansfield\, Ohio that sought to build a community of practice around local food production. Through this work he helped to create the Richland Gro-Op\, a cooperative of micro farm growers based in Mansfield\, Ohio. Before moving to Ohio\, Kip developed and launched a schoolyard gardening project in St. Petersburg\, Florida called the Edible Peace Patch Project\, which continues to operate eight schoolyard gardens in that city’s Title 1 elementary schools as a vehicle for reducing drop rates and enhancing science education. \n*Masks are requested in the building*\nFellowship has returned. Will Humphrey served two Lutheran (ELCA) congregations as a youth pastor and a Church of Christ congregation as an educator prior to coming to All Souls. Serving as our parish minister\, he was ordained with us and has served us since 2015. Rev. Will is bi-vocational\, serving also as a public school educator. Rev Will is active with anti-racism work within Knox\, Richland\, and Wayne Counties and throughout the state; he works with the Heritage Universalist groups\, including the Universalist Convocation\, and Rev Will is active within the Central East Region’s Summer Institute\, serving on the ministry/chaplain team for the past three years. Passionate about liberation theological perspectives and eco-feminism\, Rev Will advocates for LGBTQ+ rights\, anti-racism and economic justice\, affirming the worth and dignity of each person\, fighting for justice\, equity\, and compassion in human relations. Rev Will believes that “the foundation of our faith\, as Unitarian Universalists\, is the Love that we live in our interactions and our daily Social Justice work.” \n*Masks are requested in the building*\nFellowship has returned.
