Rolland J. Williston\, is a member of the Okla-Choctaw Nation in Oklahoma. He was honored to participate in the International UFO Congress in 2011. He has taught overseas 47 times in the past 40 years. A personal vision has been given to him by the Great Mystery through major ceremonies: \n\nTo be in the midst of many Native communities and traditions\, and to have a strong relationship with Mother Earth.\nTo visit Indigenous elders in order to recover as much of the ancient knowledge as possible.\nTo conduct various ceremonies patterned after elders and his personal vision.\nTo share the teachings of an ancient Peace Shield drawing at this time of the 7th Fire—“to help Earth Walkers come into relationship with all life everywhere.” This drawing was handed down to Rainbow Eagle in two winter visits with Erv Romans (PEN-NA-SHE of the Martin Clan)\, last of the Ontonagon Band of Ojibwe/Anishinabeg.\n\nHis second book\, Native American Spirituality: A Walk in the Woods\, includes teachings related to natural spirituality\, “Peace Shield” teachings\, and prophecies of both North and South America\, as well as spiritual guidance about preparing for cosmic relationships. \nRainbow Eagle’s third book\, The Ancient Roots of Christianity: A Native American’s Look Through Christianity\, is also available. DESCRIPTION:Sunday Service — 10:30 a.m. \nLeader — Jacqueline Moore \nSpeaker — Tim Berra \nTitle — The Moai of Rapa Nui (Easter Island) \nTopic — PowerPoint lecture will explain migration of Polynesians throughout the Pacific\, their ancestor-worship religion\, and include information on why and how the statues were carved\, how they were moved throughout the island\, and various ideas on the collapse of Easter Island society and population. \nDr. Berra will be available after the service to greet attendees and sign books for those interested. \nBio — Dr. Tim M. Berra holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Tulane University (1969) and is Academy Professor and Professor Emeritus of Evolution\, Ecology & Organismal Biology at The Ohio State University. He also serves as a University Professorial Fellow at Charles Darwin University in Darwin\, Australia\, and as a Research Associate at the Northern Territory Museum. \nHe is a three-time Fulbright Fellow to Australia (1969\, 1979\, 2009) and received the Friend of Darwin Award from the National Center for Science Education in 2022. In 2023\, he was a National Science Foundation EPSCoR Visiting Scholar at the University of Guam. \nDr. Berra is the author of more than 100 scientific papers and ten books\, including The Peopling of Polynesia: From Taiwan to Easter Island (2025)\, Bourbon: What the Educated Drinker Should Know (2019)\, Darwin and His Children: His Other Legacy (2013)\, Charles Darwin: The Concise Story of an Extraordinary Man (2009)\, Freshwater Fish Distribution (2007)\, A Natural History of Australia (1998)\, and Evolution and the Myth of Creationism (1990). \nJoin us downstairs after service for our monthly potluck. \nMasks are optional in the building\, and we fully support individuals’ choices regarding their use.

After a blessing\, you will be invited to come forward and receive a flower that you did not bring\, symbolizing our shared connection and the gifts we give and receive in community. \nThis simple yet meaningful ceremony honors the cycle of life\, renewal\, and the arrival of spring. Each flower\, unique in its own way\, reminds us of the beauty found in diversity and the strength of our gathered community. \nThe Flower Communion was created in 1923 by Rev. Norbert Čapek\, founder of the Unitarian Church in Prague\, Czechoslovakia. His wife\, Rev. Maja Čapek\, later introduced the tradition to the United States. Tragically\, Norbert Čapek lost his life in a Nazi concentration camp during World War II\, but his legacy of unity and peace lives on through this beloved ritual. \nWe hope you find meaning and joy in this time-honored tradition. \n\nLeader — Reed Richmond \nSpeaker — Jen Gibson \nTitle — Still\, We Begin Again \nTopic — A reflection on Easter and Flower Communion\, exploring renewal\, hope\, and moral courage through the lives and teachings of Unitarian Universalist leaders Forrest Church and Norbert Čapek\, and what their legacy calls us to practice in our own time. \nBio — Jen Gibson is a member of All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church\, where she serves as both the Administrative Coordinator and a member of the Board as Trustee for Social Media\, Advertising\, and Growth.
