DESCRIPTION:10:30 a.m. Sunday Service \nSpeaker: Dr. Walter Kania \nTopic: What does the word “Divine” mean?\nWhen we call something Divine we are usually referring to:\n– A Power beyond our imagination.\n– A Force or Power that is WITHIN us but is not OF us.\n– A Force behind and beyond all that exists and that is responsible for all that exists.\n– The Invisible that is beyond the Creation of all that is visible. \nWhat is the Field?\nWhen we refer to the Field we are talking about:\n– A vast sea of energy within the Universe that also contains the entire Universe. We sometimes call this the Divine or the Source of all that exists.\n– The Essence of the Supernatural or Paranormal.\n– The place where Mind and Matter are connected.\n– That which connects us to each other and to all that exists. \nToday’s message will provide us with the results of experiments in Quantum Physics that identify the presence of what we call the Divine in the Field. It is a Force and an Energy that exists in what is sometimes called the Zero Point Field. It operates in a realm about which we know little but provides evidence of its existence in all of our lives. \nBio: Dr. Walter Kania is a licensed Clinical and Consulting Psychologist. He holds a PhD from Michigan State University. He has maintained an active Clinical and Consulting practice. He also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Texas Christian University. He is ordained in the Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) and The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He has served on the faculties of Texas Christian University\, Bethany College\, The Ohio State University\, and The Renaissance Academy of Florida Gulf Coast University. He is the author of five books\, “Healthy Religion\,” “A Believable Bible\,” “A Credible Christianity”\, and “Spirituality Without Sin and Salvation.” His newest book #5 will be available early 2019. The title is “Spiritual\nPsychology.” He conducts seminars and is a frequent speaker in the fields of Psychology\, Religion\, and Spirituality.

Will Humphrey served two Lutheran (ELCA) congregations as a youth pastor and a Church of Christ congregation as an educator prior to coming to All Souls. Serving as our parish minister\, he was ordained with us and has served us since 2015. Rev. Will is bi-vocational\, serving also as a public school educator. \nRev Will is active with anti-racism work within Knox\, Richland\, and Wayne Counties and throughout the state; he works with the Heritage Universalist groups\, including the Universalist Convocation\, and Rev Will is active within the Central East Region’s Summer Institute\, serving on the ministry/chaplain team for the past three years. New finds include Ceely Rose’s relationship to another murderer\, executed in Ohio during the 1920’s which begs the question: Is this kind of madness innate or something caused by dysfunctional family/society? \nBio: Mark Sebastian Jordan has been an active presence on the Ohio arts scene for over thirty years as a writer\, actor\, director\, playwright\, and improv comedian. His Malabar Trilogy of historical dramas was featured in sell-out performances for a decade at Malabar Farm State Park.\nMark is a writer with numerous publication credits and awards\, and works as a freelance journalist for publications all over the world. He has written about classical music for numerous publications\, and currently reviews concerts for Seen & Heard International. Mark also gives music appreciation talks for the Mansfield Symphony.\nBook publications include The Book of Jobs\, 1776 & All That\, Murder Ballads: American Crime Poems\, and Slammer\, Private Dick. Mark also writes for the blog Voices from the Borderlands. Mark has also just been awarded a grant for individual excellence from the Ohio Arts Council in criticism for his reviews and essays.\nMark describes himself as a refugee of the corporate business world\, where he spent a decade in packaging purchasing. Finding himself compulsively writing and creating to escape the unfulfilling day job\, he fled when a corporate buyout ended his position.
