DESCRIPTION:Speaker:  David Schwartz \nTitle:  AS TIME GOES BY \nTopic:  Time is a very integral and common part of our daily lives.  However\, there are many aspects of time that we rarely if ever\, think about.  But these features of time shape our existence much more than the ticking of a clock.  Schwartz will explore with you many little known aspects of time and how this dimension of the universe affects your life and future. \nBio:  David Schwartz has been a member of the East Suburban Unitarian Universalist Church (ESUUC) in Murrysville\, PA since 2006.  He is also a member of the Covenant of Unitarian Universalists Pagans (CUUPS). He served as president of the Board of ESUUC in 2010-11. \nSchwartz was born in Mansfield\, Ohio\, graduated from Madison Local High School and received a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1959.  He also earned a Master’s degree in public relations from Ohio State University in 1967. \nFrom 1967-2008\, Schwartz owned a farm on Mengert Rd. Lucas Ohio.  The farm is protected from development by a conservation agreement with the Owl Creek Conservancy of Mount Vernon\, Ohio. \nA writer for more than 50 years\, Schwartz has published five book which are listed on Amazon.com.  He was also a speechwriter for the Mercury and Gemini astronauts at NASA. \nFor the last forty years\, Schwartz has resided in Pittsburgh\, Pennsylvania with his wife Harriet.

DESCRIPTION:Speaker:  Dr. Walter Kania \nTitle: “I Am ______.” \nTopic:  “I Am\,” are the two most powerful words in our language with which we may think or speak.  As we know every thought we think or every word we speak is an affirmation.  We are well advised to give close attention to what thoughts we rehearse and also to give close attention to the words we speak.  Whatever follows “I Am_______” decides the nature of the life we live\, the impact on our state of health or illness\, the chemistry of our bodies\, and our ultimate demeanor.  It is as Dr. Albert Einstein said\, “The most important question we ever have to answer in life is this:  “Is the Universe Friendly?”  Your answer will determine the ultimate nature of your entire life.”  Everyone answers Einstein’s question and everyone completes the phrase\, “I Am_______.”  Give close attention to how you finish that sentence!  Unless one realizes the power of the ending of that phrase one has become little more  than a victim of their own making. \nBio:  Dr. Walter Kania is a licensed Clinical and Consulting Psychologist. He holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University. He has maintained an active Clinical and Consulting practice. He also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Texas Christian University. He is ordained in the Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) and The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He has served on the faculties of Texas Christian University\, Bethany College\, The Ohio State University\, and The Renaissance Academy of Florida Gulf Coast University.
