SUMMARY:Diane Howard -- Walking the Talk
DESCRIPTION:Sunday Service — 10:30 a.m. \nSpeaker — Diane Howard\nLeader — Reed Richmond \nTitle — Walking the Talk\nTopic — Ways that we can follow through and help our neighbors using scripture references from James 2:15-17 and Luke 10:29-37 \nBio — I have served on the board for the Matthew 25 Outreach Center for the past 4 years. Matthew 25 is an organization with the mission “Working together to meet needs as we build relationships” which we do through the distribution of produce in Ashland\, Richland\, and Wayne Counties. At the Mansfield distribution\, my task is to help with the fun food which consists of pastries and snack food donated by an organization located in Wooster. I help organize the bulk food and direct volunteers to box the bulk items into family sized portions and then distribute it to those who come to the drive through distribution. During my service so far\, I have helped to write multiple grants so that we can continue to expand our service to those who are hungry in the three counties we serve as well as explore opportunities to expand into other surrounding counties as we know there are many hungry people throughout our corner of the world. \n*Mask are requested in the building*\nFellowship not available at this time.

DESCRIPTION:Sunday Service — 10:30 a.m. \nSpeaker — Wendy Bartlet\nLeader — Kristen Ellis \nTitle: What Don’t You Know About Thoreau?\nTopic: A recent biography about Thoreau begins “Everyone who comes to Thoreau has a story.” What’s yours? And if it’s been a minute since you took a stroll around Walden Pond\, we’ll do that too. \nBio: Wendy Bartlett graduated from the Unitarian Universalist House of Studies with dual specializations in Unitarian Universalism and Interreligious Contexts. Wendy’s areas of focus were Unitarian Universalist history and the intersection of Unitarian Universalism and Buddhism. Raised in the United Church of Christ\, Wendy’s family joined the UU church when she was thirteen\, and she’s been here ever since. SUMMARY:Cara Mia -- To Follow A Pagan Path
DESCRIPTION:Sunday Service — 10:30 a.m. \nSpeaker — Cara Mia\nLeader — Hayley Young \nTitle: To Follow A Pagan Path\nTopic: Modern Paganism (or Neopaganism) is a term describing a broad range of beliefs and practices. Hours can be spent discussing the nuances between various paths. But if we try to speak generally for a moment\, what do they have in common? What are some of the most common beliefs and practices that might call someone to follow a Pagan path? Let’s talk about some of the core elements that often make up modern Paganism. Set one foot upon the path\, and see where it takes you. \nBio: Cara Mia [they/she] is a practicing Witch and Pagan living on the land of the Erie\, Mississauga\, and Kaskaskia\, now called Cleveland\, OH. They have been making videos about modern Paganism and Witchcraft since 2008 under the name cutewitch772\, and co-founded “The Pagan Perspective” — a collaborative channel featuring Pagans from various paths and backgrounds — in 2009 (search YouTube for “paganperspective”). Cara is part of the Reclaiming Tradition of Witchcraft\, an inclusive and anti-racist tradition bridging the worlds of spirituality and social justice. They began growing a Reclaiming community for Ohio a few years ago\, and that group is now blossoming! Cara also enjoys educating the public at the Buckland Museum of Witchcraft and Magick\, located in Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood. This is her fourth time speaking at All Souls. \n*Mask are requested in the building*\nFellowship has returned. Join us downstairs after the service for coffee and conversation.

SUMMARY:Dr. Walter Kania -- You Can't Make This Stuff Up!
DESCRIPTION:Sunday Service — 10:30 a.m. \nSpeaker — Dr. Walter Kania\nLeader — Bambi Gordon \nTitle: “You Can’t Make This Stuff Up!”\nTopic: Today’s world is a manifestation of all of humanity’s most negative and destructive energies. One can view them in the field of politics\, economics\, government\, finance\, agriculture\, and International relations. It might seem that the world has learned little from mistakes of the past. We seem to go about making the same mistakes that were made in times past. Is there anywhere to look for more positive perspectives about life in this time and space? \nThe answers have always been found in the same place – the realm of Spirit and the Ancient Masters. The answers are the knowledge of who we are\, and an understanding of the world\, the nature of mankind and human life. If indeed\, we knew our true identity and destiny we would all abandon negative and destructive energies. \nSo Who Are We? And What Is Our Destiny? Evidence abounds. Please let me share some of it with you. Some call it our identity – that we are “Spiritual Beings having a human experience.” Some call our time here in this dimension “a place of learning and growth.” You decide! \nBio: Dr. Walter Kania is a licensed Clinical and Consulting Psychologist. He holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University. He has maintained an active Clinical and Consulting practice. He also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Texas Christian University. He is ordained in the Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) and The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He has served on the faculties of Texas Christian University\, Bethany College\, The Ohio State University\, and The Renaissance Academy of Florida Gulf Coast University. He is the author of five books\, “Healthy Religion\,” “A Believable Bible\,” “A Credible Christianity”\, and “Spirituality Without Sin and Salvation.” His newest book is “Spiritual Psychology.” He conducts seminars and is a frequent speaker in the fields of Psychology\, Religion\, and Spirituality. \n*Mask are requested in the building*\nFellowship has returned.
