DESCRIPTION:Speaker:  Dr. Walter Kania \nTitle: “I Am ______.” \nTopic:  “I Am\,” are the two most powerful words in our language with which we may think or speak.  As we know every thought we think or every word we speak is an affirmation.  We are well advised to give close attention to what thoughts we rehearse and also to give close attention to the words we speak.  Whatever follows “I Am_______” decides the nature of the life we live\, the impact on our state of health or illness\, the chemistry of our bodies\, and our ultimate demeanor.  It is as Dr. Albert Einstein said\, “The most important question we ever have to answer in life is this:  “Is the Universe Friendly?”  Your answer will determine the ultimate nature of your entire life.”  Everyone answers Einstein’s question and everyone completes the phrase\, “I Am_______.”  Give close attention to how you finish that sentence!  Unless one realizes the power of the ending of that phrase one has become little more  than a victim of their own making. \nBio:  Dr. Walter Kania is a licensed Clinical and Consulting Psychologist. He holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University. He has maintained an active Clinical and Consulting practice. He also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Texas Christian University. He is ordained in the Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) and The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He has served on the faculties of Texas Christian University\, Bethany College\, The Ohio State University\, and The Renaissance Academy of Florida Gulf Coast University. He is the author of five books\, “Healthy Religion\,” “A Believable Bible\,” “A Credible Christianity”\, and “Spirituality Without Sin and Salvation.” His 5th book is now available\, the title is “SPIRITUAL PSYCHOLOGY A Path to Our Transcendent Self.”  He conducts seminars and is a frequent speaker in the fields of Psychology\, Religion\, and Spirituality.

DESCRIPTION:FREE & Open to All! (Donations welcome) 2 rounds of silent Buddhist Sitting meditation (Zazen) with 1 round of silent walking meditation (Kinhin). No previous meditation experience necessary.
