TitleMeeting the Moment–Centering Undivided Love Amid a Fractured Landscape

TopicThis moment, in our world, in our faith as Unitarian Universalists, and this nation, is a fight for the belief that every single person deserves wellness, serving and thriving. There are so many who are trying to say that only certain people deserve well-being, and we say: No! -everything for everyone! When all things that matters are possible, we have met the Moment

Bio — My years in both clergy and the IT industry served as a good combination and pathway when I became involved with Unitarian Universalism after leaving the Anglican faith. This journey took me to the Unitarian Society of New Haven, becoming a member on June 3rd 2007. There I served as a chair for the Adult Religious Education and co-chair of the Transformation / Anti-Racism Team, two areas of my passion and continued to this day with community organizing.

One of my joys was organizing the first gathering of People of Color (POC) in Ohio District in 2014. I subsequently also served on the General Assembly Planning Committee and on Black Lives UU Organizing Collective Board, the Unitarian Universalist Funding Program and the UU Christian Fellowship.

After my relocating to Ohio, I served many years on various congregation Boards and being their Presidents. I am currently the Convener of the UU Church of Akron Leadership Development Committee and on the Board of Murray Grove (UU) Retreat Center in New Jersey.

Join us downstairs after service for coffee and conversation.

Masks are optional in the building, and we fully support individuals’ choices regarding their use.
