Rev. Dr. Elaine Strawn — The Three B’s

June 1 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Sunday Service — 10:30 a.m.

Leader — Jacqueline Moore

Speaker — Rev. Dr. Elaine Strawn

Title — The Three B’s

Topic — In “Believing,” New York Times reporter/researcher, Lauren Jackson, revealed results of her research. Religion offers people three B’s: “beliefs about the world, behaviors to follow and belonging in a community or culture. They said they wanted to belong — in rich, profound and sustained ways.”

This is not a shock. But what are the ways we create and maintain such a community here and now?

Bio —Rev. Elaine Strawn retired from UU pastoral ministry in 2019, after having served Wooster, Canton and Westfield congregations. She is temporarily serving as our Primary Contact with the Central East Region of the UUA.
In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, walking with her spouse and their Corgi, and playing with their two month old grandson.

Join us downstairs after service for coffee and conversation.

Masks are optional in the building, and we fully support individuals’ choices regarding their use.
