Bio — Missy is the Dog Warden for the Richland County Dog Shelter in Mansfield, Ohio, with more than 20 years of experience in animal welfare. Throughout her career, she has worked as an animal cruelty investigator, humane agent, and shelter director, helping thousands of lost, abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs find safety and new beginnings.
Known for her honest, compassionate approach, Missy is passionate about strengthening the bond between people and their pets through education, responsible ownership, and understanding canine behavior. She believes that every animal has a story worth telling and that even the most broken dogs can teach us powerful lessons about resilience, trust, forgiveness, and unconditional love.
When she’s not caring for the shelter’s dogs, she enjoys sharing behind-the-scenes stories that inspire compassion and help people see the incredible impact they can have on the lives of animals in need.
