Title: The Call to Stewardship: Our responsibility to always remember, in every decision we make, we must consider the impact on the next seven generations.
Topic: What is stewardship and how do we in Mansfield/Richland County answer the call?
By gaining a better understanding of our responsibility to conservation, protection, and preserving of our natural resources, we can learn how accepting the call to stewardship has a direct interconnection to the community, including economic stability and viability for today and future generations.
In addition gain a better understanding of Storm Water (including some mandates), local programs, and how important it is to become involved and answer the call to be good stewards including the interconnections of our actions on the environment, community and neighbors.
Key areas to be covered include:
– Storm Water Management in our community (explain the requirements of the EPA Storm Water Permit)
– Earth Day, Arbor Day, and Soil Stewardship Week – and the Annual Earth Stewardship Celebration (litter clean ups, tree plantings, green infrastructure, beautification recycling, energy conversation)
