Christopher Reynolds — Three Ways to Put Original Sin to Rest: Fieldnotes
October 2 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Sunday Service — 10:30 a.m.
Speaker — Christopher Reynolds
Leader — Bambi Gordon
Title — Three Ways to Put Original Sin to Rest: Fieldnotes
Topic — As we enter the ‘thin-time’ of autumn when the spiritual worlds are
closer, a gift we can offer our ancestors is to continue working
on their unanswered questions. In Ohio Christianity, the dogma
of Original Sin caused pain in the past and continues to cause
unnecessary suffering now.
Join Christopher Reynolds as he shares fieldnotes from his family’s 900 years of struggle on the question, “Can the dogma of Original Sin be put to rest now?”
In songs, stories and sharing, Chris will offer three ways answer “yes” and lay this patriarchal dogma to rest;
1) Connect to the Earth; 2) Connect to the Ancestors; 3) Urperson and Urth: The Messiah Complex
